It turns out, thank goodness, that my grandmother did not have a stroke after all! Instead, the hospital she had been in due to a fall last week overdosed her on morphine. Which apparently mimics the symptoms of a stroke so exactly that they couldn't tell until they got her into the neurology department in Worcester and did a barrage of tests. So ( Read more... )

I am back from the Cape! Where I did not tell people I was going, but my cousin got married and so my mom's whole family was there and it was a great time. My cousin looked ridiculously beautiful in her wedding dress, like she was out of a bridal magazine, and it didn't rain. So I have been in Maine one week now! It is not particularly exciting since my parents both work, so I have mostly been reading fic and watching television/movies.
